Kyle Weiler
Kyle Weiler is a dancer, choreographer and aspiring director. At a young age he was in awe of live performance and quickly developed a passion for the performing arts. He is currently in the dance class of 2016 at The Juilliard School in Manhattan.
Kyle has danced the works of Martha Graham, Eliot Feld, Jose Limon, Camille A. Brown, Brian Brooks, Kate Weare, and Kyle Abraham. He has performed in New York’s Fall for Dance, Chicago Dancing Festival, and Kate Weare’s residency at BAM Fischer Hall. He recently performed in Damn Yankees at the Ordway Performing Arts Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a Gluck Community Service Fellow, giving him the opportunity to perform in hospitals and senior living facilities throughout Manhattan.
Throughout his time at Juilliard, Kyle has enjoyed participating in many community outreach projects. He participated in Arts Powers Arusha, Tanzania, a community outreach project in Arusha, Tanzania made of Juilliard-trained artists. Kyle is also a founding member of the Arts Fusion Initiative, a diverse group of artists who create unique, interdisciplinary performances inspired by American poets. Kyle had the pleasure of performing and teaching alongside his classmates through the student-created collective DaretoCreate. Returning to his home to Minnesota, Kyle assistant choreographed Bare: The Pop Opera at Minneapolis Children’s Theatre and co-created an original musical cabaret entitled Before Its Over.
After graduation, Kyle hopes to pursue as a storyteller through dancing, singing, and acting. He hopes to continue directing and choreographing for musical theatre.
